Star trails over Harriman Reservoir in Wilmington, Vermont, on a clear, bitterly cold mid December evening. Light spill from Bennington, Vermont, and Albany, Troy, and Schenectady, New York glow on the horizon. The sky was exposed for two hours. In that time, the earth rotated beneath the stars, causing them to appear to streak through the dark nighttime sky.
