Description
The sun rises on a cold January morning over Oregon Inlet on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The Marc Basnight Bridge, completed in 2019, crosses the turbulent inlet, connecting Bodie Island to Hatteras Island. The Oregon Inlet Life Saving Station on Pea Island, and the Bonner Fishing Pier, created from a section of the former bridge, are seen in the background.
